Church wedding Melbourne

Ethel and Tom met 8 years ago when they both worked at Crown Cinemas in Melbourne.

On the Sunday before Christmas they tied the knot in a beautiful service at St Monica’s in Footscray followed by an stupendous reception/party for 200 of their closest friends and family some of whom had flown in from United Kingdom and Hong Kong for the wedding

Ethel and Tom are a fun couple who project a deep, comfortable and unforced love for each other.

it was a total delight and privilige to share their day and capture their love for all to see.

Service: St Monica’s Footscray.

Reception: Atlantic, Docklands

Catering: K T Catering

Flowers: Melbourne Flowerhouse

Jesh de Rox, The Flu and Xmas

Ok Lovelies,

Yes its been an incredible last 3 weeks!

I attended a 3 day workshop with Canadian photographer, Jesh De Rox in Sydney 2 weeks ago. It was an amazing experience, The first 2 days hardly touched on photography at all, it was about connecting and reaching out, both to yourself and the people around you. A couple’s relationship with their wedding photographer is a very intimate one and to get get the best both as an experience and photographically there needs to be a lot of love and connection between photographer, bride and groom.

The portraits I posted were were from an exercise where we had to go out in the streets of Sydney and photograph someone for 10 minutes whilst listening to our favorite piece of music and not talking to them. For some reason I felt nervous before the exercise but once we hit the streets it was one of the most exhilarating photographic experiences I’d had for long time, 6 images of Amy from that shoot shown here.

I had an amazing wedding with Ethel and Tom on Sunday from which I’d 70% recovered from my flu…..phew! so stay tuned, the pix are some of my favorites this year. I’ll blog their wedding in the next week.

Have a beautiful, safe Xmas and New year everyone.

jxx

and heres jesh.

Class 8 graduation

My eldest son Charlie had his class 8 graduation last week, He attends a Steiner school where they have the same class teacher for 7-8 years then they revert to a more normal system where they have separate maths, english teachers etc.

It was a very special night particularly for the parents.

My son Charlie

Best friend Sacha

Jack, Rosie and Darcy

Their new class mentors hold a candle while the class light it

Glenn, their class teacher for 7 years and Cath who taught them this year are honoured by the class in a traditional Yiddish dance…It was very moving

Mornington Peninsula garden wedding

Rosalie and Chris got married in a beautiful garden wedding at Crittenden Estate.

With 2 children of their own and and many friends and family attending with kids too it was a very child friendly wedding with lots of laughter and kids and parents running around on the lawns playing chasy.

Chris and Rosie were glowing and radiated love, it was palpable. They’re 2 children have very special parents that really understand whats important in life. It was a privilige to be a part of their wedding.

Quality food was extremely important to them and was the deciding factor in choosing to have their wedding there and on that I must concur.
