When I saw this article about a couple’s wedding album being saved it really hit home how important our role as a wedding photographer is to the people who trust us to tell their story and of my experience during the fires that ravaged Victoria.
Living in the Yarra Valley myself we were luckier than many, our house remaining unscathed but we still had to evacuate 3 times. Photo albums, disk drives and DVDs containing photos along my son’s BMX trophies were always the first possesions in the car. The rest could be replaced if need be.
