I’m in NYC for the next 2 weeks working on personal projects, more on my return to Oz.

Susan & Greg – a sneek peek

Hello Lovelies,

Heres an image from Susan and Greg’s very fun Melbourne wedding at Butleigh Wootton. More to come soon.

Sydney wedding photographer – Haley & Ashley

There’s something in the air. Haley is the 3rd bride I’ve photographed in 9 months from Canada or USA and has fallen in love with an Australian fella.

They met in Vancouver through mutual friends where Ash was on a working holiday. A farewell party was held for Ash was leaving on a 6am flight back to Sydney, at 2am Ash got plucked up his courage and got Haley into the kitchen where he proceeded to tell her he had ‘feelings’ for her, Haley then proceeded to call him an ‘jerk’ because he was leaving in 4 hours and how dare he abandon her now! Ash got as far as New York on his way back to Sydney then decided he had to go back to Vancouver to be with Haley. It was special…Very special.

With the insurance payout following an accident where Ash totaled Haley’s car Haley decided to join Ash on his trip to Sydney where they got married and now live.

Thanks so much for having me capture your special day, it was an honour and a pleasure to share it with you.

Jodi & Aaron Ocean E-Shoot

Jodi and Aaron meet on a diving trip, they both love the water, they live near the water. Aaron loves to surf and Jodi being a Marine Biologist works in/with the water, there was only ever going to be one place we would be doing their engagement shoot.

We had a lot of fun and I can’t wait till their May wedding!

Melbourne Greek Wedding Yiota & Sam

I love Greek weddings!

They’re fun, they’re passionate, they’re loud and very energetic. They have traditions and customs dating back centuries. You always seem to get the Great Uncle and Aunt who left their tiny, remote village in Greece or Cyprus, got on a plane for the first time in their lives and flew half way round the world just to be there for your wedding. Sam and Yiota’s wedding had all that and more.

People who have seen me working a wedding know I’m very energetic, I’m always moving, looking, waiting. I regularly get comments like ‘when are you going to slow down’ but this was a 14 hour extravaganza that didn’t let up for one moment and keeping up with the constant flow and energy took everything I had. When everyone starts dancing they don’t sit down, its unrelenting and it goes all night.

Sam and Yiota beamed with love of laser like intensity the whole day, it too, like the dancing, was unrelenting

Thanks so much for having as part of your special day, it was an honour and a pleasure to be there.

A BIG thanks to Meredith O’shea who shot the first 4 images of Sam getting ready.YSsamGR1BWYSsamGR3-BWYSsamGRoldman1BWYSdaboysGRposedYSyiota-civviesYSkidsoncouch1YSfamilypicsYSmum-GRflowerpetals-RINGpanelYSgirlsarmdetailsGRYSsam+balloons2YSyiota-mumGR-BWYSyiotenterpanel2GR-BWYSdanceGR1YSfeetdetailGRYC-TSchuchfrontpanelYS-enterchrchspreadBWYSchurchjoinupYS-churchpanel2YSchurchdetail2panelBYSconfetti1aYiota&Sam-HiRes-CLR514YSpark2YSparkvert1panelYSundermortenbay1

First day of summer

Given the 30 something degree temprature here in Victoria on Sunday I was lucky enough to find myself on Jan Juc beach that afternoon.

As soon as I looked up the beach into the warm late afternoon light I felt summer was here, I knew the water would be cold but I had to dive in . If the waves were a bit more body surfable I would have stayed in longer or at least, thats what I told myself, instead I retreated to the beach to watch happy dogs and people enjoying the afternoon as much as I was.

Jill and Nick’s engagement shoot

Hello lovelies,

Some images from Jill and Nick’s beautiful engagement shoot. We had a ball shooting around The Convent and Collingwood Childrens Farm.

Nick met Jill, a native American while on holiday in New York where Jill was living in April 2008. It was love! Following that a long distance relationship

ensued until Nick in Janurary this year, down on one knee, wearing snow shoes in the Vermont winter proposed to Jill.

A few months later Jill moved to Melbourne to be with Nick and are now planning the first of their 2 weddings which will be in Melbourne, can’t wait.
