Melbourne wedding photography – Jodi & Aaron
What a fun, beautiful couple, words can’t describe how in love they are, everytime we met them it was palpable, the energy of two very compatible people carried their wedding day with an effortless grace, it was beautiful.
Jodi and Aaron both love the sea, they met on a scuba diving course 4 1/2 years ago, they both surf and live near the ocean . In terms of joint interests I don’t think I’ve met a couple who enjoy doing so much together
Now can you guess where Aaron proposed to Jodi?…. No, it wasn’t in the Simpson desert or on the Nullabor plain it was…..Suprise, suprise…you guessed it, in the ocean, on a scuba diving trip on Hamilton Island in fact. Jodi thought Aaron had been acting a bit strange that day so when Aaron tugged her flipper and Jodi turned round to see Aaron holding a ring and on one knee as much as someone can at 16 metres under water giving the thumbs up or thumbs down signal it all became apparent.
The wedding was a beautiful bright sunny day just like Jodi and Aaron, the service was held at Dalywaters Rose Farm in Mornington a perfect place
then the reception at Merricks General Store, a beautiful warm venue and just up the road from one of their favorite surf beaches.
It was a beautiful wedding, and thanks so much for having me capture it for you.

melbourne wedding photographer Qemal & Sarah – Part 1
Wow wow wow!!! Qemal and Sarah are such an awesome couple and their wedding was nothing short of incredible. Seeing 2 people who are so in love and right for each other never ceases to take my breath away, its intoxicating and makes what I do so enjoyable.
Sarah is also the 4th bride from USA/Canada I’ve photographed this year who’s married an Australian!! What is it with Australian men ? But they are the only ones who still live in the States but chose to exchange their vows in Shepparton where Qemal’s family hails from.
With an extended coverage and so many great images to be had at this wedding I’ve broken the blog into 2 parts, the next installment to follow very soon.

Easter Sunday
Hello Lovelies,
I generally don’t blog non wedding work here but today I’ve made an exception.
The Age newspaper here in Melbourne asked me to document some Easter Sunday church services for a feature they were doing on the celebration of Easter and given that one the churches I was asked to attend I’d shot a wedding there the week before it seemed only fitting I share these images with you.
At 6am I arrived at St Pauls cathedral for their dawn candlelit service, it was beautiful with the cathedral only being lit by the candles the 100 or so people had lit on their way in. Later that morning it was the ‘Planet Shakers’ a big, slick rock n roll show/sermon playing to around 2000 people indispersed with bit sized bits of eulogy, smoke machines, loud music and along with Jesus Christ there were lots of Easter egg references. Christianity certainly comes in all shapes and sizes.
Melbourne wedding photographer – Susan & Greg
In the aftermath of Melbourne’s most severe storm in many a year, nearly high school sweethearts Greg and Susan married at the the beautiful and ornate Butleigh Woottan in Kew.
What a beautiful heartfelt wedding! Everyone had a ball, the speeches were moving and Susan and Greg radiated a generosity of spirit and fun that was totally infectious. Susan’s now departed father was there in spirit with a framed picture of him sitting in the middle of the bridal table, it was beautiful.
All the best to you in your life together. It was an honour and privilege to capture your wedding day!

The footy is back
Yes Lovelies the footy is back and kicks off tomorrow night with the Carlton v Richmond clash at the ‘G’
Football (Australian rules) supporters here passion knows no limits and witness Nick, a fanatical Carlton (blues) follower who shamelessly used his wedding night as part of the unrelenting quest to convert Jill, his beautiful Stateside bride and recent arrival to Australia to imbue his passion for the Carlton football club.
I think he was saying ‘I love you, I’m so glad you married me and go Blues’
